    Is it stable enough ?

Is Windows 8 RP stable enough to install it as my main OS ???

As well I would ask you to check my system specs to see if all drivers I need are compatible with widows 8

I'm sure we will find out in a few weeks when we can legally get our hands on a copy we know is completely untouched, but with it being RTM you would expect it to be stable or they wouldn't of RTM'd it.

It has been stable for me, but it does expire I believe in Jan. So you won't be able to use it for that long on your machine before you have to make a change.

I could of sworn you'd put RTM rather than RP

    Coming back to the topic:

I am using win8 on 2 machines, and I can't see any major unstability issues, so you should be happy with it as well.
Your system spec - I can't see any 'exotic' devices, that could have problems with drivers
Even if there will be something - you can try to force installation of older driver (got tv tuner installed this way with vista drivers)

They fixed the dynamic Tick issue that was causing freezing for a lot of users.

Stability really depends on your components.

My laptop is very stable, but my soundcard causes issues on my desktop and that's solely down to poor driver support.

I've an odd issue. Every time I boot up my computer for the first time in the evening after work, it will freeze and crash several times but then remain fine for the rest of the night after multiple restarts. The cycle then repeats itself the next day. Any help would be most appreciated.

I do MS .NET development in my day job. The work horse tool is Visual Studio 2010. I'd like to ask my boss about putting Windows 8 64 RP on a box. We are a shoe string budget and getting W7 64 Pro has been a challenge. At least there is a few months before RP expires. It all boils down to how...
Windows 8 stable enough? in General Support
Just curious, is Windows 8 stable enough to run as a secondary system? My primary system at work is Win 7 and at home is OSX, but my laptop bounces between the two and is running Ubuntu Linux 10.04. Given I replace Linux with Windows 8 has anyone seen any show stopping bugs which might prevent me...
