I forgot something, when I get to the point that I see the blank screen, should I reboot and then do what you said?

Jack, YOU start it from a cold boot. Switch PC on, click F8 till you get the DOS menu screen, then choose from the menu "Start PC in Safe Mode with Networking".

Ok, for some reason it doesn't want to install when I tried safe mode with networking?? Any other ideas?
Thanks for the time. And can you load windows 8 when in safe mode?

Jack, you do your repairs under safe mode, if you want to re-install, and doing it without a DVD, or CD then like you did to get that screen up, BUT instead of starting Windows in Safe Mode, go instead and use Start in DOS, once DOS is loaded then go to the directory where you are keeping the Windows 8 RP file at. *example*: CD C:/my_directory_where_window8RP_at. Once in the proper directory, then at the C:> (C prompt) type setup.exe That will start the Windows 8 RP installation. If you are reinstalling with a Disk/Disc just put it into the CD/DVD drive and restart the computer. Setup will start automatically if your CD/DVD drive is listed as the first drive in BIOS. Man, I don't know what I'm doing wrong, thought I had it, but when I try and load windows 8, it loads fine, but then comes to where the screen goes black again, I can't see what I need to do next. Is there a way to load Nvidia Drives for my video card before it gets to that point? I tried to do a repair, the problem is I can't see what to do next, is this making sense? Apparently it doesn't recognize the GeForce 550 ti. Grrrrrrrrr!

OK Jack, try this. Instead of trying to get your Nvidia GeForce card loaded, GO with a generic Microsoft video card driver, 32/64bit if it works you can go after setup is completed, and get the Nvidia GeForce driver. I have a GeForce card as well, and was walked thru installation of Win 8 DP.(Developers Preview) As I am instructing you, I was instructed this way. It is a slower work-around, BUT the end results are what we care about. Also if you haven't downloaded it, get the Windows 8 GeForce driver once you get into your desktop. MAKE sure FIRST you get ALL the UPDATES before you load your GeForce Windows 8 driver. Hopefully this will solve it for you.

Yes, I did download the updated driver for the card, but during installation the screen goes black, I am assuming that windows 8 IS using a generic driver to try and get that card installed, but I can't see what is going on. If I could get it to load to the desktop, I would do that, but I can't see anything. Do you follow me. I know this is frustrating for you, as well for me
