Upgrading windows 7 to windows 8 beta with windows 7 recovery partitio

I have 4 primary partitions at the moment 2 of which are lenovo windows 7 recovery partitions 1 is the C drive and another has drivers for my hardware. if i did an upgrade on the c drive to windows 8 would i still be able to use the recovery enviornment to restore to windows 7?

Without seeing the disk management screen (start, search, type diskmgmt.msc and <enter>), it is hard to be sure how your partitions are set up.

If you post a screenshot (Alt+PrtSc) open Paint, paste, save, and post the image (insert image button above Reply to Thread text box here) in your next message we may be able to advise you better.

The one partition called SYSTEM_DRV should remain intact because it boots to recovery mode, and therefore the 19GB OEM partition should also remain intact.

To be honest I wouldn't risk it ONLY after I would have made a recovery image of the full hard drive (read everything on Disk 0), in case Win8 messes OEM recovery. It can all go well since the WIn7 and 8 bootloaders are very much alike but therefore you'll have to wait for confirmation from someone (that's not me) who's pretty sure or who already did what you want here.

Alright the laptop did not come with windows 7 install disks so i am not willing to install windows 8 if it might screw up my recovery partitions
