What will happen if I install windows 7 after windows 8?

I can confirm Arpan's post. I have done it several times without problems. The old Windows 7 text boot menu with 8 included. And yes, driver signing can be disabled as with 7.

I have windows 7 HP x64, windows 7 ultimate 32bit, windows 7 ultimate x64, windows vista ultimate 32bit, windows 8 release preview x64 already installed on this PC. All these are in different partitions. This is for testing printer drivers.
Just a query here -- but surely if you basically just want to test printer drivers why not install all these as Virtual machines -- you'd only need a tiny OS for each VM if you were just basically testing printers.

Seems that this application is TAILOR MADE for using Virtual Machines. You can use VMware player (Free) VirtualBox (free) or even Virtual PC from Ms.

    Hi there
that's fine - but without that piece of information VM's seemed to be the obvious way to do it.

The overhead actually of VM's these days can be really tiny -- and if you use something like HYPER-V on W8 -- FREE ( but it's a bit more complicated to set up) you can use "Pass thru" which means the VM can access the real hardware so your rendering time would be 99.9% accurate -- more than enough for the average printer user I would have thought.

I'm surprised that for this purpose if you really DO need to test this stuff out on Physical real machines that your company hasn't given you a second and possibly a third machine --- a machine for this purpose could be a quite modestly priced PC or even a used one. Without knowing the specifics it seems there are easier ways of managing the application than how you have to do it now.

Anyway good luck -- I haven't dual booted systems for YEARS now and have some old equipment such as an HP Plotter (still works fine) running perfectly on a W2003 server VM which is running on a W8 Host via HYPER-V. Works a treat.

    Cheers
