    Deleting Windows folders

I accidentally installed Windows 8 on a data drive.

I can't delete them. Does anyone know how to delete those folders (Windows, Program Files etc.).

Is there any data left on that partition ? - theoretically it should all be gone. If it is just the Windows 8 system, you can use this approach: Dual Boot - Delete a OS - Windows 7 Forums

There is lots of data on the partition. There is only one partition on the drive, and I installed Windows 8 into that partion. Now I have w:\windows, w:\program files, w:\data etc.

So why don't you backup the data and reformat the partition.

It's a 3TB drive that's over 50% full. There has to be a better way! I will try "rd" command in elevated command prompt.
