Windows 8 installed but no product key

Pretty much a total novice here... was recently given an HP Envy TS i7 to use for my nonprofit. Pretty sure it came with Windows 8 but the product key was lost. Is there any way to retrieve that? Tried looking through some of the posts on this forum but am unfamiliar with the terminology. Thanks.
