I would really like to install Windows 8.1 on my Laptop to learn more about it for work, will be a Dual Boot with Windows 7. I don't have the funds to buy it right now so was wondering if I can just install the Preview of it for 90 days or whatever. I see it at the Windows Site here but not sure this is still even valid? Or, what is a reasonable price to pay for it. Don't really want to go this route since it is a dying OS, but may have to.
I also don't know if I can install this to my computer with components that are made for Windows 7. It's a TOSHIBA Satellite L505D-5007 Laptop. Wait, I see now that it may have came with 8.1 also. Here is the exact Model link: http://support.toshiba.com/support/modelHome?freeText=2520796
I used to have an account at Toshiba Support Forums, but just went there and can't log in. Thought I would check with those guys to see if it could be done, but no luck. Will have to create a new User I guess. I see some technical info to check out but want to be sure, because this is on my Windows 7 machine.
Thanks, Stealth
