Yes, and kindly read the full article to know more..

It states that "Some users have bumped into installation errors with the latest flavor of Windows 8. Microsoft says you may need to tweak or update your BIOS to solve the issue." and if you do not know how to update the BIOS read the manual product guide of Acer.

I'm an ASUS user and I'm the only one who made an update on my laptop. What I have did, I follow what is in the manual guide.

Having an installation error doesn't necessarily mean you have to flash your BIOS. The error mentioned in the article that is fixed by a BIOS update doesn't seem to match the error the OP stated. I wouldn't be in a big hurry to flash my BIOS based on that article alone.
alquhait did you give it another try to see if it was just a one time glitch. Did you unplug anything on the first reboot like a USB thumb drive? How did you do the install?

Was anything plugged in externally to the laptop during the install, like a phone or a flash drive?

that error message has been linked on certain computers to a conflict with the dvd driver.

Rule of thumb for myself, and seems to work for myself, and that is doing a BIOS update/upgrade. Usually when a new BIOS comes out, it usually (99.999%) gives your PC new features that were not enabled when the computer was released into the retail chain. To update your BIOS, just go into your BIOS, and there will be a feature that tell you to "Upgrade your B.I.O.S." and it is a button, just click it, and watch the magic. BTW, you have to be connected online, and during the BIOS upgrade, you should be on your knees praying that there isn't a power outage. NOT KIDDING: has happened to me in the past, and those BIOS weren't self healing, and the whole motherboard had to be replaced, BIOS chip was soldered on.
