when win 7 was loaded ai went for the drivers on Acer but for my model there were none. SO I changed the boo tback to UEFI
I had to use my wifes win eight disk . What I need to know is it possible to recover the factory reset nad how would I do it.

Acer normally has a click here to begin that process under a certain subdirectory. Because my Acers no longer carry that hidden partition or the acess menu -- I can't remember where that menu was. c:\program files or c:\program files (x86) might be places to start, if such have not been overwritten yet.

how can I reset my laptop

Hi thanks for replying .I have checked my Acer file in program files. but nothing is in there relating to factory reset media.
I have contacted Acer they want £50 for a disk. the money I paid for this laptop I think they are having a laugh with that price.

According to the online Users GUide:

Using the HP Recovery partition to recover a minimized image (select models only)

The HP Recovery partition (select models only) allows you to perform a minimized image recovery
without the need for recovery discs or a recovery USB flash drive. This type of recovery can only be
used if the hard drive is still working.

To start HP Recovery Manager from the HP Recovery partition:

1. Press f11 while the computer boots.
– or –
Press and hold f11 as you press the power button.

2. Choose your keyboard layout.

3. Select Troubleshoot from the boot options menu.

4. Select Recovery Manager, and follow the on-screen instructions.
