Hi there,
Been following a tutorial on this site of how to run Windows 8 from a USB HDD. Using WinToUsb I managed to get the files I needed on my HDD, the trouble is when I reboot and then select 'USB' from the boot options it doesn't seem to want to react.
In my BIOS I have the boot mode set to Legacy with secure boot off. It will boot from USB into things like Hirens Boot CD fine, but does the Windows 8 from USB require the boot mode to be UEFI or will it work through Legacy?
Can anybody suggest any other avenues for why it might not be working?
Thanks!
