    Dual Boot Partition Ambiguity

I have Windows 8.1 Pro installed on what was my primary SSD.

I bought a new SSD to clean install Windows 10 Pro.

If you don't mind, please review the following screenshot:

Disk 2 is the new SSD with the fresh Windows 10 Pro install. Notice how none of the seperate Windows partitions present.
Disk 1 naturally has these partitions (EFI, Recovery etc).

My question is this: When I use imaging software, in my case Macrium Reflect, are there any negative implications where the image spans across both disks? View the Macrium Reflect screenshot for context, it is the screen where I have selected "Create an image of the partition/s required to backup and restore Windows" (So the necessary image function for the full OS image.) EDIT* - I am in Windows 10 Pro and this is the option to backup this operating system, but as you can see, the backup has to span two drives as the boot partitions are on the original SSD.

Could anyone please tell me if this is an acceptable image solution, or are there better ways to dual boot (with imaging in mind primarily).

    Thank you

Hi Windows 8 users, I am considering triple-booting with: -Windows 7 (primary and default operating system) -Windows 8.1 (wanna use app-tools) -Ubuntu 13.04 (virus free, and can be used incase of system failure) This involves creating more partitions. I am no expert in partitioning, and I...
