    can i just update my os to RP?

    i am now using win8 CP, can i just update my os to RP.? so i can still have my files.?

    You can update to RP from CP, but the install will back up user data into \Windows.old and reinstall Windows. It would probably be safer, just in case, to back up your user profile data to an external disk or another machine before installing RP.
