    would this install option work

    hi all
    i have a aspire v 572pg im upgrading ,

firstly id like to know if these are compatible , ssd drive and ram upgrade
    a samsung evo 500gb will it fit and a Samsung 8GB DDR3L RAM PC3L-12800 DDR3 1600Mhz 204pin Laptop Memory SODIMM 1.35v

secondly what is the best way to install windows , would just cloning the old drive to the ssd and then putting the ssd in and then just resetting windows back to factory default for a clean install

or do i just take out the old hd and put the new ssd in and then boot windows from the mother board ( sorry never done this) this would be my best option if it works as i can then just copy all the programs and files from the old hard drive using a usb to sata cable , my computer only has room for one drive

appreciate any help , so far ive posted on a couple of forums with no replies and there is a lot of answers ive read im still not totally convinced on the best way to do this

    regards and thanks in advance

oh and my computer has 4gb with a slot for a ram upgrade , by adding an 8gb will i then have 12gb ram , i thought i read somewhere 8 gb is the most i can go but a little confused if this is the total ram ( ie put a cheaper 4gb plus the on board 4gb = 8gb) or do they mean put a 8gb in and have 12gb ,

My main purpose is to have lightroom 5 and photoshop cc run fast and efficiently currently they crash a bit and are pretty slow , my disc is at 100 percent most of the time in task manager ive got 125 gb free space

First, to address a couple of pieces of misinformation: (1) you can't boot Windows from a motherboard, instead, you have to boot it from some form of Windows media (e.g,., USB, DVD), (2) you can't copy programs from one PC to another because they're not just simple files.

To upgrade an existing PC to a new drive, be it a hard drive or an SSD, I would recommend the following:
    1) Make a full image of your PC's boot and OS partitions to an external drive. You could use Macrium Reflect for this, or other apps
    2) Create bootable media for the restore program -- MR allows you to create USB/CD media for this purpose
    3) Replace the existing drive in the PC with the new drive (HDD or SSD)
    4) Boot from the restore boot media and connect the external drive
    5) Restore from the full image backup to the new drive

When done, you should be able to then disconnect the external drive, remove the boot media, and boot the PC.

sorry when i meant copy programs i meant the folders then id install them again

what are the clone software like , samsung ssd comes with one , what i was thinking was clone it as it seems easy and then upgrade to windows ten with a clean install when its available which should be in a few days i think , then re install my programs and transfer my documents over
sorry for my lack of knowledge , i havent done a hard drive swap berfore , looks easy enough ive put new screens in laptops etc so it looks easy just getting the installation of the operating system seems confusing , i wouldnt even know how to make a full image of my pcs boot and os partitions

id also like to know if the ssd im looking at and the ram upgrade model is compatible and are these the best option or is there better products available , my budget is 500 dollars for ssd and ram upgrade, i have sent an email to acer support but still waiting on a reply hopefully someone here might know the answer

Screen of Macrium Reflect to backup everything
Next is to apply rules if you'd like, I ignore it as I don't need it.
Final screen is an overview of the rules and what you want to backup.
