By default anyone using the guest account would be unable to access the desktop or files of any other account. This is by design. The rights of the guest account are the lowest of the low.

If the situation seems otherwise you need to fully explain.

i tried to see what would happen if tried this on our other computer. the screen shot above indicates that i have an option to permanently open allow guest users access. why does it do that ? that is probably what happened on the other computer and why it has this problem. i always remember in xp that you could access the admin side of the pc from the guest account when you provided it with a password BUT IT NEVER gave you an option to do that permanently SO THAT IT STAYS THAT WAY.

Does any one maybe know what i can do to fix this ??

    THANKS

and now i gone and messed up everything. i have changed the permission in the security of c drive for the guest to be so that the c drive is no longer accessible. now office doesnt want to start. i did a restore point the drive remains unaccesable from the guest account and office doesnt want to open. it asked me to do a repair from the programs in the control panel i did this but office remains so that it wont open.

so i did a retore point but that did not fix the problem. all of this happened after i started this thread.

i heard from eli the computer guy that if an account isn't password protected that virus 's finds its way quicker into your system. so ii am very concerned about the situation because if this pc crashes due to viruses we cannot scan to another pc and it is very important to our business as well we are doing taxes at the moment. it also the only pc that we scan to from our printer
