    Windows 8.1 32-bit format to 64-bit

    Hello,

I am new to the forums

I have a Bush windows 8.1 Tablet 32-bit with a 64-bit capable cpu, it has an intel Atom z3735g cpu, and the motherboard is bay trail, I do have a usb flash drive with 16gb (sandisk) and want to format to 64-bit and when I boot into bios which ever way it says usb boot not supported and I can't change boot from UEFI to CSM as there is no option I have used the windows recreation tool and is has formatted the usb flash drive with windows 8.1 64 bit so I disabled secure boot and tried all the options like enable usb boot in bios(uefi) and it still won't boot from the flash drive, do anyone know how to reformat this Bush tablet to 64-bit?

    Thank you

How much memory does the tablet have? For a device like that, you may be better off leaving it at 32 bit.

Hmm... yeah, it has 1gb but I have used virtual memory and changed it to custom size with 1024mb initial size and 2048 mb maximum size, which has increased the performance and getting a 128gb sd card to, I think I will now leave it as it is I have reset it and wiped everything using the windows restore to factory setting and completely wiped clean, it is pretty fast as it was anyway, I just like getting the most out of it performance wise :P this is a very good tablet for the price and is also getting a free upgrade to windows 10 and has come with 1tb of free online storage all for under 100.

The minimum supported RAM for a 64 bit OS is 2 GB. While it will run with only 1 GB RAM it will not perform well. A 64 bit OS has some serious advantages but you need adequate resources to support it. Generally with less than 4 GB RAM you are better of with a 32 bit OS.
