Solved PC reset, lost free Windows 10 upgrade.

Hi I am wondering if I can get the Windows 10 upgrade back for free.

I recently reset my Windows 8 PC to factory defaults and when I did this I had the Windows 10 Reservation icon in my taskbar. After I reset it, I didn't have the icon in my taskbar no more. Anyone help me to see if I can get it back or not.

Thanks for the quick reply, so apparently I just checked and my PC isn't windows 8.1 anymore so when I reset it I guess it downgraded from 8.1 back to 8? Ya, so the link you sent it sent me over to redownload 8.1 and so I am guessing I have to install 8.1 before Windows 10. So I tried to download 8.1 and install it but then it said it could not install or download it.

Go to this tutorial: Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 ISO - Download or Create How to Create or Download a Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 ISO an do a clean install. If you PC came with windows 8 the installation media should read your license key from BIOS. Before hand you might want to down load your drivers from the manufactures site and have them ready(specially the Graphics driver). If you were sync'd previously to OneDrive when you re-sync you'll have your old desktop, then you can do your updates.

K I am upgraded to 8.1 now, Windows 10 icon isnt still showing so Ill probably do it manually or just wait it out. Thanks for the help!

Almost there, keep running Windows update, I do believe its an optional one.

K, I got my Windows 10 icon back and it is now downloading to my PC, thanks guys.
