    when you boot to your media - instead of selecting "Install" > press "Shift + F10" to bring up a command prompt and type one tine at a time

    for UEFI
    select disk 0
    rem == Windows RE Tools Partition 1 ==
    create partition primary size=350
    format quick fs=ntfs label="WINRE"
    assign letter="T"
    set id=de94bba4-06d1-4d40-a16a-bfd50179d6ac
    gpt attributes=0x8000000000000001

    rem == System Partition 2 ==
    create partition efi size=100
    format quick fs=fat32 label="SYSTEM"
    assign letter="S"

    rem == Microsoft Reserved (MSR) Partition 3 ==
    create partition msr size=128

    rem === Windows Partition 4 ===
    create partition primary
    format quick fs=ntfs label="WIN_OS"
    assign letter="W"

    for MBR

    select disk 0
    rem == System Partition 1 ==
    create partition primary size=450
    format quick fs=ntfs label="SYSTEM"
    assign letter="S"
    active

    rem == Windows Partition 2 ==
    create partition primary
    format quick fs=ntfs label="WIN_OS"
    assign letter="W"

    place this file on your setup media drive - (remove the .txt) then get into command prompt as above Shift+F10

    then type E:\Boottype

    Assuming E is your Media drive letter

    you can go fishing for the drive letter, if you do not know it

    type> diskpart
    type> list volume

    find the drive letter to your media drive

    Did you click the "Windows cannot be installed to this drive Show Details" to see why it won't install to that drive?

    It says that windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows can only be installed to GPT disk.

    If you can use an ISO to get it installed { or any other method } , I suggest you do merge any unallocated space to your Primary drive.
    Usually C:\ drive.

    I did.
    I had 17 GBs unallocated & merged it with my C:\ drive to make it bigger.

    I needed help doing it since I was unfamiliar with the Mini Tool program.
    Brink & others provided me with good help doing it.

    Your PC is booting in UEFI mode and your HDD is MBR

    You need to either convert your HDD to GPT and boot UEFI (converting from MBR to GPT will wipe the 400GB partition data)

    OR you have to enable Legacy Support in your BIOS settings and boot into Legacy Mode via your F12 (usually) boot menu

    OR Clean your HDD and start from scratch

    What option you want to do??
