Lenovo Y50-70

I could install Win 8 for on MBR partition. However, when I do it the way described here with rufus 2.1.649, my Lenovo BIOS, secure boot disabled, UEFI boot mode activated with HDD UEFI GTP preformated shows me the EFI USB Device and says

EFI USB boot failed.

any idea would be appreciated.

UEFI boot mode (installing using the GPT partition style)

- Secure Boot: Enabled
- Boot Mode: UEFI

Legacy BIOS boot mode (installing using the MBR partition style)

- Secure Boot: Disabled
- Boot Mode: Legacy

You do not need to change the boot order of drives in your computer's UEFI firmware (BIOS).
- Connect your Windows 8.1 USB flash drive or insert your Windows 8.1 DVD.
- Shut down your laptop.
- Press the NOVO button. The system loads boot options.
- Select the BOOT MENU option.
- Select your USB/DVD from the boot menu.

For Windows 8 on an MBR disk, change Boot Mode to Legacy Support and Boot Priority to Legacy First.

If you want to install Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2008 or Windows Vista SP1 on a GPT drive, keep Boot Mode to Legacy Support but change Boot Priority to UEFI First.

For Windows 8, Windows Server 2012 and later, keep Boot Mode to UEFI and enable Secure Boot.

So,to cut a long story short:

UEFI installation in Windows 8 and newer:
Boot Mode- UEFI
Secure Boot- Enabled

UEFI installation in Windows 7 and older:
Boot Mode- Legacy Support
Boot Priority- UEFI First
Secure Boot- Disabled

BIOS installation for all versions:
Boot Mode- Legacy Support
Boot Priority- Legacy First
