New Win 8 Install on Main PC - 2 quick questions

As per title, I downloaded the x64 preview ISO today & want to install it on my main PC.
Before I do, how long does the installation take & how long can I use the preview version for?

All beta versions of Windows 8 will shut down on January 15, 2013.

Your installation time might include solving problems, so there's no telling. After I had downloaded, it took about half an hour to install, but that was me.

Thanks, I found the install time to be roughly the same as Win7 x64 HP.

I didn't keep it long, I didn't like the way you have to keep swapping between that full screen interface and the normal desktop.
I couldn't see what was open and what wasn't as the full screen apps don't show in the task bar.

That said, everything worked fine and if it had start menu I would have kept using it.
I know people are probably sick of hearing that but let's face it, there isn't even an option to have a start menu.
Fine for tablet users but surely the bulk of PC users are using a keyboard & mouse.

Anyway, I may give it another go later on, there's been features in other versions that I haven't liked at first but have gotten used to later.
