Windows Explorer - how to force L & R to stay in sync?

Hello

How can I get Windows Explorer to show always the correct place in the directory tree?

e.g. If I create a bookmark to a directory location, then when I click on it, Windows Explorer opens and correctly shows the files in the directory in question in the RIGHT hand window. BUT the left hand window fails to show the correct place in the directory tree.

Instead it just shows "This PC" in the left window.

This is quite irritating and confusing, not least because it then become hard to navigate away form that directory.

Is there any way to make sure that the left hand window correctly shows the directory location of the files in the right hand side of the window?

Thanks.

J

Hmm, I just dragged a short cut to C:\Users. Left click open C:\Users Right click bring up right click options menu. How are you creating this shortcut?

I found the file in File Manager then rightclicked and dragged onto the desktop. Is there another way?

Yes that seems to have done the trick. Although sometimes the current folder in navigation page defaults to having scrolled down out of view...

Thanks :)
