Hi guys,
My laptop came with inbuilt win8.1,
So i guess i've right to download a genuine copy of windows and use that with inbuilt OEM license key?
I cannot find any iso files that are genuine,
And using Windows Media Creation Tool it is taking ages even on decent download speed, there is no option to pause/resume too :(
Any other alternative to download a copy of win 8.1?
Thanks in advance :thumb:

Its about a 4 GB download its going to take a while. While you download speed may be fast MS servers could be very busy and slow

Your options are limited with an OEM product code. http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/18309-windows-8-windows-8-1-iso-download-create.html Other than bit torrent, your options are limited. Keep in mind that the Media Creation Tool download has to match your OEM installed version. If your PC came with 8.1 and you install 8.1 Pro, you'll be prompted to enter a key. same deal if you install 8.1 and it shipped with Pro. If you can get a TechNet or MSDN ISO it is multi edition, Core and Pro, and will auto detect your embedded OEM key. Also, if your laptop shipped with 8.1 Single Language, or 8.1 with Bing you need those specific versions for the OEM key to be used.

This is what MSDN lists for the ISO. You can check the details yourself on the MSDN site. You just can't download without a subscription. If you end up having to resort to bit torrent etc, check the SHA1 hash code of your ISO against what I posted below. If they match the ISO most likely hasn't been messed with. If they don't match, it most certainly has been altered, and I wouldn't use it..
