    it is unable to unmount the install.wim and then it is unable to export the install.wim

    do you have a "Mount" folder still present ?

    should look like this

    Code:
    ===============================================================================
     PROCESSING THE FINAL STEPS FOR THE INSTALL.WIM
    ===============================================================================
    Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool
    Version: 6.3.9600.17031

    Saving image
    [==========================100.0%==========================]
    Unmounting image
    [==========================100.0%==========================]
    The operation completed successfully.

    Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool
    Version: 6.3.9600.17031

    Exporting image
    [==========================100.0%==========================]
    The operation completed successfully.

    delete your current imageprep folder > empty your recycle bin > start over using this imageprep

    I made the program copy the wim files rather then move them, also it does not delete the copy to/from folder..

    Yes.
    the files boot.wim & install.wim are present in the wintel folder now and in the base folder.
    oboy i hope this works now.

    copying both files in to the source folder on my recovery usb drive.

    ok.
    tried to just boot from the usb drive by going right charm - settings - change comp settings - update / reset - reset - reset all reinstall win.
    then the computer restarts and seems to use the usb rescue drive with the imagefiles , beacuse it makes me choose language settings etc.
    but at the end after i also tried to wipe disks and repartition the drives . and tried to do a fresh install.
    at the end logging into my live account and it sets Everything back as it was - but still windows is not activated and trying to use the correct
    key - not working.
    and it says in the activation window that the Product key is not correct that seems to have been used by the installation program but i only see the 4 last digits and they are not recognized by me.

    Am i doing something wrong here.
    gaaah.

    So it's not the key that came with the disc? andthat was entered with the script?

    Try Showkey+ to check the key edition of the new key.
    Install the new key in command prompt: slmgr /ipk xxxxx-blah-blah
    try activating: slmgr /ato.

    .. that means the key does not match the edition installed... What edition does Showkey+ show when you check it via
    "Check Product Key"?
