I can no longer boot Windows 8.1. I do not currently have an upgrade media. Not sure what steps to take as I originally purchased Windows 8 as an Upgrade. What do I do? Do I try and find a Win8.1 iso and attempt to create a recovery disk from it?

Ive been using Windows 10 on another hard drive connected to this computer. I needed to check out some programs today on Windows 8.1, which I haven't used in a while and it wont boot. Has a blue screen with an error about winload.exe.

Ive downloaded this file OSGS14-WindowsSetupBox-32bitand64bit-English-4141408 but I cant even get past the Product Key portion. I enter what I know is my Product Key but it wont accept it. Im sure this has something to do with my original version of Win 8 Pro being an Upgrade. Which of course, when this is the case, MS has seemingly made it harder for recovery options should something go wrong.

Ive also tried another method by using an ISO on USB. I don't get any Command Prompt option and an attempt to Repair results in Scanning/fixing errors but that seems to stop after a minute, PC reboots and im back to the Blue screen error.

Thanks. That's the first thing I tried. Unfortunately, I tried the repair option but after about a minute of scanning, it stops and reboots. I also do not get any Command Prompt option which I was hoping for. Is there a trick to get the Command Prompt option to come up?
