    Hi,

Probably because you need to have the SATA storage driver ready on a floppy, USB, CD or DVD when going to install. When it asks where to install to, click the button to "Load Driver".

Make sure you use the same driver as how you have the bios set to: IDE or AHCI mode.

Make sure where you want to install to is an NTFS partition.

I put the set up part on a disc then when it comes to installing it on my computer it says it cannot find any drivers, even thought it is an NTFS partition

It's not very clear if you followed my first sentence from before, or not. The problem might be happening because you may need to have storage driver ready. You have to download it and extract it so it is available, on any media I mentioned.

    Which motherboard do you have?

In Windows 7, type msinfo32 into the start menu then press Enter. Click on System Model line, then press Ctrl+C to copy. Then make a new post here and press Ctrl+V to paste it.

If that shows junky, unusable info, run CPU-Z to see which motherboard you have.

It doesn't need the driver to install. A working one is part of the Windows DVD installer already, although you should install the Intel one from HP.com for your model when Windows installation is done and you are at desktop.

64 bit drivers for later when Windows is already installed - Software & Driver Downloads HP Pavilion g6-1c13ca Notebook PC - HP Customer Care (United States - English)

You can take a screenshot of Disk Management from Windows 7 and attach it here, so we have an understanding of how your machine is.

It's because your HDD is dynamic. You need to make it basic. There are various non-destructive ways to do so.

After, I would make sure the partition you want to install to is a Primary one.
