do you have a way to copy the files from G to another location - ext drive or usb?

I worry - as I do not want to lose the files on G

Because the sony.wim - I would of expected to be a little bigger for a factory image

The boot.wim is a little larger then normal - and I would expect that

    The P1.wim - I think is the wim for the G -

you have to unhide system files - and show hidden files..

you have not seen all the contents as some files are surely hidden

also choose to unhide file extentions

My computer is still making the recovery media, I will tell you if I already got the result from my USB. I am afraid this is kinda complicated because surely my F partition is bigger than my G partition. I tried to unhide the system files and I only found 3 wim files.
    From F: sony.wim (3.48GB) and P1.wim (718MB)
    From G; boot.wim (352MB)

or maybe sony never has install.wim files?

Most like they name the wim so windows recovery would not find it..

I do believe that is the proper wim, just under a different name..

The recovery media you are creating was from the Sony Option??

Once you finish creating that media post a pic of the files on the media and the contents of the - sources folder

Yes so from VAIO care I have the option to create recovery media which I never done before maybe and It changed what tutorial you gave before changing the R partition into F and its still making the recovery media. I hope recovery media I created can be use to help me clean restart my laptop. But seems the command cannot be used. So I finished created my recovery media and all the partition I mentioned to you is gone so I try to search my recovery media in my USB (now in D:\) and I found only two wim file: boot.wim (230MB) and install.wim (3.12GB)

    command prompt(admin)
    Type> diskpart

    type> select disk 0
    type> list partition
    type> list volume
    (post a pic)

you will see a lot of volumes without drive letters assigned..
Now find the 10-20GB volume #
type> select volume # (# being the volume number without a drive letter)

    type> assign letter=r
you can now Browse thru R and find Install.wim or Install.swm(s) - those are your Factory recovery Images..

    type> exit (to exit diskpart)
    type> reagentc /disable

now, assuming the install* file(s) are on "R" and in a folder called "RecoveryImage"
Note: Change "drive letter" and "folder name" below to suit your system setup

    type> Reagentc /Setosimage /Path R:\RecoveryImage /Target C:\Windows /Index 1

    type> reagentc /enable
    reboot PC

yeah2 I found that on the ASUS Laptop to factory, "some files are missing" thing
because I thought I have the same problem. So now I have two .wim files in the recovery media I just created (D:\) and I found only two wim file: boot.wim (230MB) and install.wim (3.12GB). So the "some files are missing" can be solved using the USB or not?
