Hi,

I think I have solved why my PC is not showing all partitions when installing Windows, it looks like I have 2 hard drives on my laptop - the first as default install destination is a 32GB SSD drive. The 2nd drive looks like a standard HHD drive at approx. 475GB.

WIndows has installed on the 1st smaller hard drive but that really has not left any rooms for any programs etc. Is there a way of creating a program file on the 2nd hard drive and having programs installed there but being fully functional ?

I have created a library on the 2nd drive and changes all the locations for folders like documents, music and videos etc.

Anyone offer some help please?

Thanks

Scott
Some Lenovo systems use the 32 GB SSD as a cache drive to enable faster operation.

The operating system is not actually installed on the 32GB SSD.

Check your model's documentation. Since you didn't supply the exact model in your specs, I was unable to check it for you.

this may be what has happened, I have purchased a new laptop today (HP Elitebook 840 G1) and it has a 32GB drive and a 475GB drive.
