All of SSD drive not visible on Windows 8 install

Hi,

I have just purchased a 2nd hand laptop which has a 500GB SSD drive on it and when installing Windows, it only shows 33GB of the drive which I assume is a partition. The rest is just not visual at all so there is no way to format or select it etc.

Can anyone help me with this?

I can't actually get into Windows which is why I needed to sort the install out.

at install screen - hit F10 - to bring up a prompt
this is assuming you only have one disk installed in pc

type> diskpart
type> select disk 0
type> clean

close prompt and reboot into windows setup - see if that works..

I'm guessing this laptop has a 32 GB MSATA SSD cache drive and a 500 GB conventional hard drive. If so your installing to the wrong drive.
