hey
few days ago me and a friend was trying clean install W8.1 64bit (the system was 7 ulti 32bit)
i'm asking to know what was the problems
this way:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hjoIeOXl2g
when i tried it and faced "u have 32bit..." because we were using 32 bit tried changing from setup with a win8 32bit and didn't work (the main folder setup not sources folder) did any one tried changing the sources setup.exe with and 32bit one and did it work?
why microsoft "lock" the setup only for 64bit systems what if i had and 32bit and wanted to upgrade without booting

the second way was making an active partition with windows files in it
when we tried it with the external HDD (resized, made a partition...) it didn't boot and didn't even appear in boot
with the main HDD i used the same way and it worked :sarc:
what's the difference ?

then after installing from the internal HDD (it appeared windows 8 and the installation on the boot menu)
i made system partition active and after restart it didn't boot, why?

tried easy recovery disk from 1 GB flash and it didn't work, once again why :D ?

we booted the installation from USB using WinSetupFromUSB (we hadn't an +4 GB usb flash before, just external HDDs)
