Adding features and windows media center

I would like to be able to get windows media centre onto my PC, however I have searched for ways to add features to windows but none of the guides are working, as the Add features to 8.1 option does not show in the search results, or control panel, or windows updates......as well as pretty much any other way of running it that I have found so far. when go into System its says the windows edition is Windows 8.1 pro. I have also checked my installed programs and windows media centre is not already there either.

    Any help on this?

    So, you don't get this---

It didn't do me much good to search because I already have WMC installed from the ProPack.
Even so, I did get the Add Features in Search.

Brink - these are both guides that I have tried, thank you anyway.
David Bailey - In regards to your "So you don't get this" picture, no, the only option that appears is "Turn windows features on or off". As well as this windows media centre is not in the media features sub folder.

Is Windows 8.1 Pro activated? It's the only thing I can think of, I do believe 8.1 Pro has to be activated before you can add Media Center. I'm not meaning to imply anything, just trying to rule out what might be causing it to not be available.

OK, now I'm back to I don't have a clue? Factory OEM install of 8.1 Pro or did you add Pro? Did it come with 8.0 or 8.1 from the factory?

Where did you buy the PC from? The only other thing I can think of is maybe it's 8.1 Pro Volume License. Running winver might tell you if it's VL or not.

volume license DOES NOT have the ability to add any features like wmc!! that is why you do not get the option!
