I installed windows 8 and it was working fine. This morning when I booted up my hp envy 14 1210nr, it went to automatic repair. When I select go to windows 8 consumer preview, the computer resets and goes into the same auto repair. Any ideas?

I see no one has repiled to you in 2 days, which is sad, so Ill try, NOT being a expert, on any level with these thngs.

Is there any 'safe boot' you can see ?

Any changes to your bios recently ?

Can you backup, if need be, to a external HD/USB, and then do a reinstall...

You could also have hardware issues going on, ram, etc.,,I would try installing windows 8 to a USB device , and see how that goes, as at least if it continues you might have an indication of what's going on.
