How do I delete old Windows 8 recovery partitions?

I am running Windows 8.1, and under Disk management I noticed that there are way too many recovery partitions that weren't there when I ran Windows 8 a year ago. How do I figure out which ones are Windows 8 or 8.1, and how do i delete them?

the first one is the windows 8 recovery tools

the second is the boot files

the third one is your windows

the forth one is the 8.1 recovery tool

the fifth one is (I assume) the factory recovery image partition

and the sixth one is not much (due to size)

First off before doing anything, you should make a recovery drive. Create a USB recovery drive - Windows Help

I assume you updated to Windows 8.1 ? Did this system come preinstalled with Windows 8 and then you do not have any recovery media ? If this came preinstalled make recovery media first in case of,but first make the recover drive.

Plenty on ways to remove these through Diskpart or programs like ESUS Partition manager, being easier then trying it in Disk Management. Looks like you did a EFI GUID GPT partition style install or came this way when bought.

Look here same topic and issue Too many recovery partitions?
Most likely normal way to be for upgrade to 8.1

Surely another way to change it back to way you want it ,would be doing a clean custom install of Windows 8, but you will need the recovery media (disc. or on USB Flash drive) or trying to do a windows 8 reset, also need to backup everything that did not come on system originally first, but this will cause you to have to reinstall all your other software and updates (windows and drivers) you put on again.
