Can't install windows 8 on my laptop

Hello. I recently encountered with a problem with laptop and I formatted everything so now I have a clean laptop without any system running ( before I had windows 8.1). So I tried to do a fresh install of windows 8 but when I get to the part where I have to choose my drives I click on drive 0 partition 1 and it says it's too small. So I tried to extend the partition but an error pops out and says " we couldn't enlarge the selected partition". Please help. !! I have an Asus laptop with uefi.

Thanks for the link. I checked it and I did everything like it says but the only problem is that I don't get 4 partitions but I get only one and it's the primary partition, I could just install It from there but it says that I have only 300 mb and when I try to extend the partition I get the error that says we couldn't extend the selected partition.

I don't quite remember because windows wasn't working and I was in recovery mode. After that I think I used cmd and went to disk part and formatted disk 0 from there. So I deleted all my data and windows, so basically like a fresh pc.

ouch, basically like a new pc with out need recovery options ,except a windows recovery dvd or usb .

there are like ways to fix this ,but i have never experienced this my self so i suggest searching the tutorial section a bit to see if you can find info on getting the rest of the drive space back ,if it had it here with me i would remove it a put it into my usb drive dock and format it somehow ,and start over .

On the Where do you want to install Windows? screen, you'll need to delete all of the partitions (see screenshot below). Select a partition and click on the "Delete" option for each partition.

Once you have deleted all of the partitions, you only see Drive 0 Unallocated Space (see screenshot below).

Click on the "Next" button. The installation of Windows 8.1 will begin. All the required partitions are created automatically during the install.
