How can I install Windows 8.1 on a Broken Laptop Screen?

    Hello guys,
I want to install either Windows 8.1 or Ubuntu on my laptop (Samsung R519) via USB however I cant because my laptop screen is broken.

When I turn on my laptop, my monitor doesn't display until it gets to the Windows 7 login screen. However I have forgotten the admin password meaning I cant nothing.

By chance is there a way to get to the boot up screen to boot from my USB?

If you have the boot menu enabled in the BIOS you can probably press the F-12 key to get the boot menu.

    edit--- Boot Manager.

If you unplug the ribbon that connects the motherboard to the LCD it might default screen output through VGA. That worked on an old ThinkPad I broke the screen on.

Try hooking up to your tv using HDMI and pressing F1 or F2 at boot to get into bios/uefi and change boot order.

I would say try it using VGA and a live ubuntu dvd or usb, but you can't see anything to change the boot order correct? Hmmm a tough one this is. This is the reason I have hard to remember(& guess) passwords written & hidden. Honestly I picture what you're going through. On my laptop I dual boot ubuntu and windows 7 and before I bought my desktop I had it hooked up via hdmi to my HDTV, and when it came to the GRUB bootloader it always showed up on my laptops screen till either os loaded. So I can see you'ld be doing what the germans call "flying blind"(blind flug). You could try making a new thread and asking if anyone else has this model and then asking for screenshots and/or exact instructions for a blind person to access and change boot order/displays. Be exact with model in thread title.
