Hello,

I am currently running Windows 8 Enterprise and have an installation disk for windows 8.1 pro. Is it possible to upgrade from enterprise to pro?

No, you can go from Pro to Enterprise but not Enterprise to Pro. You would need to save your data then do a Clean Install of Pro.

What does Pro have that you need over what Enterprise provides and do you have a key for Pro? The upgrade to Enterprise 8.1 (from 8.0) is free.

Actually the upgrade to 8.1 for any version is free.

By saying The upgrade to Enterprise 8.1 is free, I meant the upgrade from Enterprise 8.0 to 8.1.

I don't know where you can get Enterprise install media or ISO download, sorry.

You can download a Windows 8.1 Pro and create an ISO to use though, see here: Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 ISO - Download or Create

The updated Option One shows you how to use a Microsoft provided tool (mediacreationtool.exe) to download any version of 8.1 shown below for either 32 or 64 bit, regardless of what computer (bit wise) you are running from.

Must be run from a Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 computer.

Edit: I did just find this. No idea how good or bad it is, so Caveat Emptor: Windows 8.1 Enterprise Free Download ISO 32 Bit 64 Bit
