No, that would not be a good idea, if you removed the SSD assembly the motherboard would also need to be modified extensively
Unfortunately the vast majority of laptops & other portable devices are not really suitable for anything more than minor upgrades. they tend to use bespoke components which are not designed for user replacement. this is I suppose a price paid to allow the convenient package that is portable.
There was a time that even certain desktop systems would use custom components - Dell used to fit a specialist PSU to a lot of their systems which meant that you could not just replace it with a stock item, but had to source from Dell
Although there is some modular construction of Laptops, they are generally designed as a consumable item, similar to a TV or Wahing Machine, and thus have a usable life, and are not designed to be upgraded like a Desktop PC .
