So. As you all probably know, there are some applications and games that won't run on win8 even with compatibility settings. I need few programs like that to run for work. I have been using my laptop (xp) to run them, but laptop's broken. I found xp install cd and installed it on new partition (dual boot). Now, I can no longer boot win8. Like it doesn't exist... There is partition and I can access all my files, but I can't boot from Win8 anymore. And I'm not getting xp msconfig...
How can I fix this?

Well there are few games like rc tycoon 2 and tron evolution that i can't run, but my company has its own programs that are designed specially for its employees that i need to run.
i've been looking for solution to this problem for two days now, and it is solved in 3 minutes! :)
but, how can i set it to give me an option to choose from win8 and xp? it's not in msconfig, and i don't want to mess with partitions by myself. last time i had to reinstall windows...

After running the above, boot to Windows 8 then use EasyBCD to add XP to the boot menu. The automatic repair should do that already but use EasyBCD if for some reason it did not.

Use EasyBCD 2.0 or above or you likely will run into issues with Windows XP boot.ini configuration.
