Installing Windows 8 Core with embedded key

Hey guys, so I've had it. My computer wont work with the recovery media I have and it won't work with windows 7, so I want to install Windows 8 or 8.1 but the problem is my key is embedded in my bios. I know it should automatically extract the key but I am unsure of which iso to use. I am currently downloading a Pro iso but my key is for a core edition. Do you know of a reliable place to download an intact windows 8 core iso?

    Thanks.

So I've got it installed on a USB but now it can't find my drive because it says it needs drivers. I downloaded and extracted the drivers from the HP site but still no dice. Are there any generic drivers I could use?

Well I got it installed so that's good, but now windows update is failing on reboot, so time to figure that out.

It is probably failing and reverting because you are trying to install too may updates at one time. Install 5 at a time.

Where did you get the ISO from? Are you sure it hasn't been modified or tampered with?

I used both versions of the hp driver and the latest synaptics driver. The touchpad worked fine in Windows 8 and Windows 7

Hi everyone, quick intro.. I own a small company which recycles IT equipment. Mostly we dismantle laptops and sell the individual parts but occasionally we get something in that's a little too good to cannibalise. This week we got a nice Samsung Series 5 Ultrabook and all it needed was a hard...
Hi guys. I've been looking at 2 laptops, they are basically identical but one has an Intel Core i3-4005U mobile processor and 4GB of RAM, and the other one has an AMD A4-5000 mobile processor and 6GB RAM. The guy at the store and a couple other people I know told me that the Core i3 is better than...
Hey guys, I have been trying to figure out how I can go about installing 8.1 on a blank hdd using my embedded product key. I hate using the manufacturer recovery because there is a slew of bloatware that I need to get rid of. If anybody could help I would appreciate it.
I'm currently using Win 7-64bit, 2X2GB, 180GB SSD, AMD 945 quad core, 880G motherboard. Think of getting the Win 8 upgrade, new 4 (4170) or 6 core AMD cpu, 970 motherboard. Would Win 8 make it worth it to get a 6 core cpu, or should I just get a faster 4 core processor (4170)?
I have installed windows 8 x64 consumer preview. Under the task manager performance, Im only seeing one cpu graph, and it reports one physical processor and two `logical` processors. Also under device manager, when I get the properties for `Computer` it says acpi x64 based pc, I think older...
Title says it all. Before I installed Hyper-V, Windows shows all 8 threads. . . After, only 1, and VMs were definately sluggish. Has anyone else had this issue or know how to fix it?
