Factory restore and update = 6 partitions

Grandson's Hp 2000 notebook all screwed up so I conducted a restore to day one. Done all the updates and updated to windows 8.1

Everything working great. Only thing I can find that's not normal (to me) is that I now have 6 partitions. Not sure about what to do with that.

Will come along & offer help.

I just now, after reading your post, merged 4 needless partitions into my C:\ drive partition.
I did that by trial & error, but it worked.
I gained a little over 1 GB in space on C:\.

Of course, before doing it I had a fresh Macrium image made of all local drives, in case I screwed up something.
