Clean install 8.1 64 bit on homebuilt machine with OEM key

Last year I built a new computer (ASUS Z87-Pro), andinstalled Windows 8 Pro 64 bit with an OEM DVD purchased online. Then upgraded to 8.1 Pro via the MicrosoftStore, and later purchased and installed Windows Media Center. The original Win 8 installation was done inlegacy BIOS mode instead of UEFI. I nowwant to do a clean install in UEFI mode. I of course have the original Win 8 Pro product key, and also haveextracted the current product key from the registry using one of the manydownloadable tools. Neither the currentor original key is embedded in the BIOS.
I would like to avoid reinstalling the original Win 8 Pro,and upgrading through the store. What Iwould really like to do is download Win 8.1 Pro Update 1 64 bit iso fromsomewhere, and burn it to a DVD. Canthis be done with the product keys I have, and what would be the product keyand activation steps? Where would I findthe download?
    Thanks for the help

If you are currently running Media Center, that's the key most of the key finders are going to find. That's the key the PC is currently activated with. You cannot install with a Media Center key. The only official Microsoft download, other than TechNet or MSDN, will not accept OEM keys. Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 ISO - Download or Create That leaves other avenues like torrent downloads. If you can get your hands on a Windows 8.1 DVD or ISO you can try this, Activate retail Windows 8.1 with Windows 8 Product key.

If you have Windows 7 installed, & two HDD's, you can clone Legacy to UEFI.

The download link is only for Windows 7 or lower.

You would need Paragon 14 for Windows 8/8.1.

    OPTION ONE
Download Windows 8.1 Update ISO File with Retail Windows 8 Key

NOTE: This will not work if you use an OEM or system builders product key.
Did you follow the instructions carefully?

    5. Once downloading starts and still at 0%, CLOSE the Windows 8 Setup window. (see screenshot below)

    6. Quickly click/tap on Yes to approve closing "Windows 8 Setup". (see screenshot below)

I use the suggested download ,windowssetupbox.exe ,and it would say the key[I used a msdn key I had laying around ,lol] was not valid
