Windows 8.1 Recovery - Could not find recovery environment

    Ok one more update:

By following the guideline here, i was able to extract a winre.wim file to my System32/Recovery directory. Then i was successful enabling Windows RE status. FYI: I did everything suggested on that website.

But the problem isn't solved yet. Still can't do any repairing or restoring on Windows. I think the problem is my Windows RE location that is set on reagentc /info.

Here's the screenshot: Click image for larger version

I think Windows RE location shouldn't be at partition4 but i'm not sure. Any ideas if i should change it and if yes, how?

    Thanks in advance.

    EDIT:

I was able to change it to partition 5, as considering the suggestions on previous pages, but recovery still isn't back. I guess my hopes are exceeded at this point

So here's three screenshots, in case somebody sees them and give me some advice on them.

First, the computer doesn't allow me to access C\Recovery\WindowsRE directory. Is that normal?

And second, here's my ReAgent.xml file looks like. Are the location paths for WinRE and ImageLocation are correct?

Hope someone can fix this very frustrating problem of mine.

partition 1 is the orginal winre partition
partition 6 is the recovery image partition

partition 5 is also a winre partition, but was created by an upgrade

I also tried setting Windows RE to partition 1 and it didn't work out either. I can't really understand what the problem is.

Acer E-Recovery was deleted unintentionally a couple of months back, could it have made a permanent damage to recovery partition?

Already did that and rebooted it. No change whatsoever.

use diskpart to assign Drive letters to the partitions and manually find the factory install.wim

    diskpart
    list volume
select volume # (#= volume number without drive letter)
assign letter=* (*= any drive letter not currently used by system)

I assigned H letter to Volume 5 here. Click image for larger version

Install.wim appears in that Volume. Its in Push Button Reset / RecoveryImage file.

now find the volume that has the Winre.wim (it's a system hidden file) and you may have to change attributes of the RECOVERY folder

    attrib -h -s X:\Recovery (X=Drive letter assigned to partition)

The winre.wim will have about the same date as the install.wim (2012)

the "RecoveryImage\Install.wim" is your factory recovery image and it appears in your first post, that it was properly registered..

    disk0\partition6\recoveryimage /index 2
