There are so many good tutorials on the eightforums site that I was sure I was going to finally find an answer. ...But, I seem to be stuck in a loop without a solution. I have a Dell Inspiron R15 S purchased in early 2013 with a Windows upgrade to WIndows 8 Pro. Since that time I have received both the Windows 8.1 upgrade as well as an 8.1.1? upgrade. My OS worked fine up until the second 8.1 upgrade. At that time Miracast totally disappeared from 8.1 as if it had never been there. No more option to add a wireless display from the Charms>Devices>Project menu. Now, I hardly care any more about Miracast but it is driving me crazy that that I cannot reformat my Windows OS to factory, or revert to WIndows 8, or uninstall 8 or 8.1, or do a clean install of any kind. Everything looks like the clean install or the format is working fine and at the end of the process I get a message saying "Windows could not install Windows 8. We have returned your computer to its previous settings. Same thing happens with Windows 8.1
Does any of this make sense? Any help? Thanks.
