windows 8.1 to windows 8

can i revert from windows 8.1 to windows 8 i do have a recovery flash drive with windows 8 and i do have a
recovery programme on my acer aspire V3-571.

Yes you can if they were OEM recovery disks but why would you want to, are you having a problem with Win 8.1?

what are OEM recovery disks and yes since i upgraded to 8.1 my computer is taking twice as long to start up

If your computer came with Windows 8 pre installed then the recovery disks you created were just that.

In Win 8.1 check that your drivers are up to date, that Windows Updates are all installed. Look in Start Up items in Task Manager for processes or Apps that do not need to load at start.

Backup any data you don't want to lose before you do anything. If you do a Reset from the recovery drive it will like doing a factory restore which will wipe everything and put it back to factory condition. Did you check mark the "copy factory recovery partition" option when you made your recovery drive? How big in size is your recovery thumb drive?
