How to reinstall Windows 8 to my laptop

Please help me! See, I had a laptop with Windows 8.1 Pre-installed. I wanted Windows 7 so I got a disc. It wouldn't boot so I changed my boot order to CD/DVD-ROM boot first and disabled Secure Boot just in case. It still wouldn't boot. I deleted Windows 8 from my laptop (FULL Format) and tried again. I failed, yet again . I installed Ubuntu 14.04 (had it lying around) and tried to boot the DVD with GRUB. Surprise, surprise! I failed :(. So I put Windows PE 5 or something on a DVD. And... (GASP!) it booted ! I burned the Windows disc again but the other disc failed too! I don't know what to do!

Now, I want to either re-install Windows 8 (i have a disc) or (preferably) install Windows 7.
Please help! :cry::(

EDIT: The Windows 8 CD won't boot either, so, that's out, unless you know how to boot the cd!
Tried both discs (Win 7 & 8) on other PCs and they booted, so my laptop is the problem.

Advise make and model of your computer.
"I had a laptop with Windows 8.1 Pre-installed." Did you make OEM Recovery Disks when you first got the computer?

"Now, I want to either re-install Windows 8 (i have a disc)" What disk is this, Retail or someone's else disk.

Clean the disk and install ( clean command) and install win7 in bios mode.

Greg has done a tutorial either here, or maybe it is on 7 forums.

what? what is bios mode?

Try this tutorial How to install Windows 7 in UEFI Mode with a USB - Windows 7 Help Forums
It sounds like your system is UEFI/GPT and your booting your install media BIOS/MBR won't work that way

Edit: your also going to have to go to the manufacture of your Notebook and download win 7 drivers most win 8 drivers will work but not all. Wi-Fi seem to be an issue on a lot of systems Different for Win7, win 8 an win 8.1 at least on Asus notebooks I would jump into their support forum and find out which drivers you will need to download and have ready at install time.

Edit: #2 your also going to need to get into your BIOS/UEFI program and disable Secure Boot, Enable CSM

Windows 7/8 setup: Installing using Legacy BIOS Boot Mode or UEFI Boot Mode.

If the Windows 7 installation does not succeed in UEFI Boot Mode, try installing Windows 7 in Legacy BIOS Boot Mode.

Micro Tech Hints: Toshiba Satellite C55-A5105 Removing Windows 8.1 Installing Windows 7

Make sure you install the latest BIOS V1.40 for your computer, because this update will allow you to change from UEFI to CS BOOT or better known as “Legacy” (so you can make the Windows 7 installation on your computer because the previous versions got no option to switch it to CS BOOT).

Using the Rufus app thing, I get this when booting image.jpg.
every time I try, it happens.

EDIT: still, the legacy thing is out because like i said earlier, there is no CSM option. Trust me, i've loked at every option in the bios setup. no CSM option or legacy or bios option.

EDIT 2: Someone, please help.

Edit 3: Going to try and edit bcd config.

EDIT 4: HELP! PLEASE! Aww, forget about it.
