Solved New W8.1?

I just installed W8.1 and I see that you don't have to use a password anymore. When you boot up it goes right to your desktop or if you prefer the start screen. Was that the new update?

Update 1 did it. Check the Start screen, if you get a bar on top in an App with minimize and close program "X" , you have it.

On my start screen in the upper right corner I have my name, power options, and a little magnifying glass which if I click on it I get a search box.

That's it I think, (forgot looks from before) if you open any APP you should see what I described before.

I have a HP laptop, loaded with Win8.1 n still learning to use W8.1
It is not easy as W7
I am a retired ,but using my new HP which has w8.1 already installed
How can I add my three other accounts unto my Microsoft account?

I think Hotmail is a Microsoft account. Not 100% sure.

You would have to log on to your MS Live account as a web page and route email to that address
Log on email account Web Page, Http:/livemail.com or Hotmail.com or Outlook.com
Click Gear Icon top right corner, Select Options
Select Import email accounts

Yes Hotmail.com, livemail.com, outlook.com are all free Microsoft Mail accounts
