Hello all,

Not sure whether or not anyone in this forum can comment on Windows Embedded Standard 8 (WES 8), but just for grins I'll post. I'm trying to install from DVD onto my hardware platform using the 32-bit bootable IBW, but it always fails as follows. The black screen with the blue beta fish comes up, then the next thing I expect to see is the little animation with the tiny balls chasing one another in a tight circle (sorry, best description I could come up with) vertically below the fish. I never see the animation, instead the system just reboots. Can anyone help me with this or point me to some other place where I can get some help? Thanks.

Kris

TheWES 8 IBW is buggy - even if deploying a configuration file - it cannot match all the dependencies, calculate the OS footprint size, and takes forever. If you only have 30 days to evaluate the system you've created - it is not worth the time spent. Wait till they release something more competent - or move the modules to the WES 7 distribution share and try to build the setup you want that way - WES 7 at least worked properly. (I haven't a clue if this would succeed!!)
