How to Recover windows 8 onto laptop?

My asus Laptop, K55N-DB81 has Linux on it. BUT before I had windows 8 on it. Now I want to re-install Windows 8 on it, but I don't know how to. I didn't create any recovery disks , and the Product Key is embedded into the Bios. I know what the Product Key IS just in case I would have to enter it again. Can anybody help me approach this situation?? Do I need to get an iso. to boot from and then go from there or something?

Thanks in advance! ANY help is Greatly, GREATLY Appreciated!

If Linux was installed it has most likely trashed any recovery partition you may have had. You are going to need an ISO or disc. Best to contact Asus and purchase the recovery media.

If not from them then here: Asus® K55N Laptop Downloads | nrdz.com

No, the basic recovery disk will not be able to do a full reinstall, it does not have all the files needed. Making a full recovery drive with the "copy the recovery partition" option will only work on the PC it was created on. It would have to be the exact same make and model and even then it may not work. Your best bet is to order a set or recovery disks from the manufacturer.

You can do a clean install if you can find a clean unmodified ISO. If your PC originally came with Windows 8.0, and you use an 8.0 ISO, it should read and use the embedded BIOS key automatically. If it came with Windows 8.1 you would need an 8.1 ISO to make use the an embedded 8.1 code. You can also skip installing 8.0 and go direct to 8.1 by doing this, Activate retail Windows 8.1 with Windows 8 Product key.

Ok So wait, what would this do? And is this a Legit Webiste, and not a knockoff?

And what does it mean when it says "Download" Does it download the iso for me to copy to a disc?
