2000-0146 error on Win 7, backed up files, trouble win8 Pro clean install...
where I'm at currently:
1. have backed up files from old drive via Fedora
2. have changed memory board battery and loaded defaults and saved
3. have physically installed new drive and it is recognized in setup
4. drive is not formatted...not sure how to proceed.
5. have retail Win8 Pro disks (both 32 and 64 bit)
6. have the 32 bit disk in dvd drive and the computer is trying to install it but it takes over 10 minutes to load the splash screen and seems to loop incessantly on "setup is loading" and never completes.

3. Service Tag: listed but it is out of warranty I know
4. Processor: AMD Phenom II ii x6 1035T

**Note**
Am attempting to work through this issue via my laptop, so downloading or uploading is limited since the desktop is the issue.
Just tried it again and it is currently over 11 minutes running with "setup is starting".
Appreciate any information/advisements to get my desktop back online.

- have replaced the memory board battery; loaded memory defaults and saved; install of win 8 Pro is painfully slow...WAY too slow. Takes over 10 min just to load splash screen.
