Samsung Digital Magician for 840 EVO when to install?

I'm trying to get everything right this time. I have been doing a clean install of windows 8.1. So far so good thanks to your help. Now I've got all the motherboard, Sound card, Video Card, Asrock, drivers installed from disk and updated. I've gone through the windows update. All cool. Made a restore point, and Now just installed Eset Smart Security 7. Now I see that I haven't installed Samsung Digital Magician that came with the SSD 840 EVO. Should I install this now before I go any further? I know that I installed it on my first complete install in April, but of course I screwed up with a refresh a few days ago, then finally I just did a clean install last night of Windows 8.1. My next step was to Install Acronis and slowly adding all my software to get me going again.

It's not required but sort of nice to have. Install it at any time.

I installed it when I first added my Samsung SDD 840 EVO 250GB then uninstalled it once everything was running good. I reinstalled it again a few weeks back to check something and decided to leave it installed. Just ran it now and it updated to ver 4.4.No need to allow it to auto-start though. Just delete the link in your Startup folder once it's installed.

And after you close its window, be sure to close it from the icon it stealthily leaves behind in the notification area. Forgetting to do that resulted in the first BSOD I've seen in years, and it seems to be related to the program purposely interfering with sleep. More on that here:

That was in Windows 7, and maybe it behaves better in Windows 8, but I see no reason to leave it running in the background.

Thanks... Maybe I'll just leave it off. It was installed during the first install when the system was virgin. Then I mistakenly did a windows refresh, then of course it resulted in Clean install. The SSD was installed with it the first time. The clean install removed the entire samsung folder. Whatever I did on the first installed is probably still on the SSD anyway, right? The firmware and whatever magician did on the first install should be fine?
