Yea, I'm running out of ideas here. That link justme gave shows lots of problems.

Justme, 8 can be made to look and act just like 7. Trust me, I'm doing it.
Really? 8 can be made to look and act like 7? That's interesting...

Okay, let's keep that as Plan C. I have a few more tricks up my sleeve I wanna try out.

Yup there are inherent issues with Windows 7 and the chipset as the Acer guy said... @Justme PM me if you change your mind... but OK let's soldier on in the meantime...

    Okay Superfly, thank you.

I did mount Win 7 on a USB again...

Running with UEFI didn't recognize it, but UEFI does allow me to open the Linux Mint...

Running with Legacy took me to the same old screen GNU GRUB whatever...

Found this, hope we're not going in circles: Acer Aspire E1-510 BIOS Update: Acer Aspire e1-510 - Legacy bios option available (BIOS v2.07)

Never mind, what has already been done.

That's the tutorial I used to update my BIOS earlier...

Well, that's where I got the BIOS update files, and within the BIOS update files there is word document that explains clearly what to do... And it worked...

Those 2 guys that had the same issue with the Red Bar, I'm thinking of registering on that forum and messaging both of them to see if they managed to find a solution...

Apparently it's the same problem, and one of them posted over a month ago, the other one over 2 months ago, maybe one of the two found a way to solve the problem...

    Something I found here:

Acer e1 510 linux model boot problem

Does anyone understand what this means?

"Finally, if Linux (and the GRUB 2 loader) is still on there, you can hold down the left shift key during boot. Go into the GRUB console and chainload the Windows /EFI/Boot/bootx64.efi or /EFI/Microsoft/Boot/bootmgfw.efi. You can even do this from a Linux live DVD. I've done it before."

What they are also discussing here: Remove grub bootloader /fixmbr and /fixboot not working

Out of my league as I've never installed Linux, only in VM. But you've never had 7 installed so I don't think it applies.

It's ready. I tried, it failed...

The same thing happened, it got recognized, it started loading, the moment it loads windows files and comes to the Starting Windows screen, it freezes and the red bar on top of the screen appears.

    Fail...
