    We iz ze Godz!!!

    We're doing it baby, yeeeah

I downloaded the BIOS update ZIP file from this blog:

    Acer Aspire E1-510 BIOS Update

Then I unziped it and opened the Word file found in there, followed the instructions (The Most Simple Instructions EVER), and it straight away recognized the USB and now I am here... My Brothers!!!

    We're Doing It!

It's Un-Freaking-Believable, doing this method Recognized the USB STRAIGHT AWAY, Even when I entered the BIOS to set my USB HDD as the primary boot device, the USB was ALREADY recognized, I could chose the USB Transcedent blah blah as the boot device.. This hasn't happened before with anything we tried, even when I installed the Linux Mint it didn't recognize it as fast as this..

Light at the end of the tunnel, is it?

But of course, how can it not fu*k with me...

It all worked as shown in that file I mentioned, up until the previous picture completes and the lap top restarts, then it opens up and this screen shows, and this is not in the file... I don't know what to do now...

This was supposed to be the next step...

"Step 11. To update TXE, please boot into Shell with the USB Flash Shell Disk on the target machine, and change to the path where “flashS.nsh”, “flash64.efi”, “isflash.bin” ,“FlashTXE.nsh”, “FwUpdLcl64.efi”, & “1089.bin” were saved to in step1.
(In this example, the files are unzipped and saved to Removable HardDisk “fs1:\” location.)"

But I'm "stuck" at the previous picture...

In the BIOS it seems to be updated...

    It used to say:

    "System BIOS Version: V2.05"

    Now it says:

    "System BIOS Version: V2.11"

    Here, the pictures...

Oh, WOW, I just checked, look at this, it's enabled now:

But I'm worried because I didn't get to complete the Tutorial for installing the new BIOS, maybe something's missing?

Should I just proceed and try to install Windows 7 now?

Yes try installing Windows - the official bios has Windows instructions that can be installed later perhaps...( I assume the reboot was from the Boot priority which may still be pointing to the the Harddrive - thus perhaps a manual 2nd boot to USB may get you to that 2nd step)

I tried a couple of things and I can't seem to load from USB the same way it loaded the first time...

It just takes me to that screen I posted a picture to 2 comments ago.

    The one that says:

    GNU GRUB
